Faster USB transfer on w580i with R8BE001?

I used to get about 90kb/s transfers via USB link (with phone in USB mode) copying to/from the memory stick (8GB) ... since I flashed MAIN to the R8BE firmware I am getting nearly 500kb/s transfers. Either I am just confused or the firmware did something! Can anyone about to upgrade compare before/after transfer speed?

Use M2 USB adaptor or cardreader. With USB cable transfer with Total Copy is:

333/666 KB/s ( more time ) , 1000 KB/s , 1333 KB/s and best speed 1666 KB/s.

Hmm..It is most likely something other than the firmware, but if it was, that would be freaking awesome.
