No! You must use "SEMC Tool v8.4 Free" for a full flash (personally tested and working), you can change CDA also. Works only with DSS-20/25 or T28 service cable. You can use the fimware in dowload area or bin files firmware.
P.S. The last and more stable firmware for k600i is R2ba019

If you use the DSS-20/25 you must install the DSS driver before.
If you use te Serial Cable as soon as the appz tell you power on the phone, press quickly the power button on the phone until SEMC detect it. Not holding the key! The phone don't must power on.
Remove and reinsert battery before start.

    Let me clarify your instruction.
*** As soon as the apps ask to turn ON the power, "press the power ON until SEMC detects the unit".
*** DO NOT HOLD KEY when powering ON?
*** When you state "The phone don't must power on" What do you mean by that?
    Thanks for helping GINN...

He was saying that you have to press the power on button very shortly, but repeatedly until the phone gets detected. The phone should not turn on (that's what happens if you hold the power on button down instead of pressing it shortly).

Thank you very much. I try it and will post the results.

PS: Many thanks to all that respond to my question.

    My experience

    I used semc or setool free for K600/K608 CID36 / 37 / 49.
The harder ones obviously were cid49 and then I proceed with test point and service cable (or t28 serial cable just to unlock them).

Service cables (4in1 cruiser cables) are autoignition cables, it means you don't need to press power button shortly.
