    ok got the idea that my erom is dead. now can you please tell me is there anyway that i can fix it myself using a standard usb cable and the relevant software, firmware etc?

    I'n not so sure that the problem is the erom, maybe, but we need first of all a charged battery and cleaned contacts on mobile

    i put the phone on charge for 3 hrs. then i tired connecting it to both xs++ and setool but none recognised it. wat to do?

    Well, your battery could still be the problem since you were not able to charge it with your phone.
    Try to recharge it in another phone so you can be 100% sure that the battery is full.

    As wrote @justme, you need a charged battery, if there is a mess just in the firmware (not in erom) you are not able to charge the battery, moreover if the battery is completely dead, we are talking about mobile problem instead could be just a battery problem (once happen to me to get a red fixed light and was just the battery), and second I suggest to clean the contact to improve the comm and also the charge.
    This is the first step to start undestanding what problem we are talking about
