    Ok.
    Download this file: Downloads - R1JC002_RED52 - V630_R1JC002_MAIN_VODAFONE_MW_RED52 - Top Sony Forums
Extract it and create a patch with simox patch generator. Patch the phone with SE Tool lite afterwards (follow simox tutorial!).

If you want to update your firmware you can also download the R1JC002 firmware.
If you do so, you'll have to upload the FS and a Custpack after you unlocked it (the MAIN already get's overwritten during the patching procedure).
You'll need VFE_2 FS and this custpack.

You'll have to gain access to the download area before you can start.

Ok, I followed the tutorial here down to part I,7 where it says:

    7. Follow the instructions given by SETool2 Lite.
    8. READ THIS CAREFULLY, it is a little tricky: When a dialog pop-up, click "Yes" to remove the patch. Click "No" to add the patch. In this case click on "No" button.

However the instructions on screen say:

    CID52 BYPASS PROCEDURE STARTED
    Processing part1...
    CSloader version:
    070410 1557 HANCXC1250562_DB2020_CSLOADER_R3A009
    Processing part2...
    Processing part3....

    Flash ID check:897E
    Flash props sent ok

    RESTARTING PHONE,IF PHONE NOT RESTARTS,THEN
REMOVE BATTERY FROM PHONE AND INSERT IT BACK

    Open COM port OK

The phone does not restart - even with the battery reinserted. In fact it will not turn on at all anymore :(

    What's gone wrong :( :(

    Ok,

I've been reading around this subject for a while now and as far as I can gather it's supposed to be impossible to brick using setool. Is this correct? I only ask because I can't seem to get setool to recognize my phone at all anymore. I've tried to use my gdfs bin backup and ..........nothing. The phone won't switch on at all either. A friend of mine has the same phone so I've used it to recharge the battery to full and still nothing..

Can I restore my phone or has it completely died?
