W880i Unlock Success but Dial an End Call button Remapped

Hello all

I successfully unlocked my Vodafone W880i CID 52 working like a beaut! (after 2 days of research).

Now I need a Little help I backed up the GDFS and I flashed using W880_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_RED52, when I was done had menu problems "Errors occur in the menu.ml file...." and the Dialing Buttons and End call Buttons were gone replace by Internet and Activity Menu.

So I Re-flashed using W880_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_RED52 and W880_R8BA024_FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52 and Master Rest. So the Menu error was solved but now I got two internet keys where the dial and end call use to be.

Can I modify something to Remap the keys? Or do I have to get back the original Vodafone files which is proving difficult?

a patch for this issue might be useful... but which "keys" are u talking about exactly?

There Might Be Some Patches To Solve Your Issue But Its Not A Problem. Its The Way SE Phone's Work. The Left SoftKey Should Be Operators Shortcut While The Right One Should Be Shortcut Menu. In Branded Phones There Function Is To Accept Or Cancel Calls.

The Keys are the W880i:
The buttons are the Internet (world icon) and Activity Menu (pages icon) on the original phone but vodafone has changed it to Call (green phone icon) and End call (red phone icon) Respectively.

Does any one know where I can obtain the patch? So I can complete the job!

If you don't need your phone unbranded why not to patch the branded firmware W880_R8BA024_MAIN_VODAFONE_RED52 (I tried and it works) or change the keypad (joking!). I don't have the right knowledge about the keypad addresses map (I did for moto mobile not for SE).

Evening All,

I got the same problem but aint got access to the DL section yet :-( are there any other solutions available to get the dial and end call buttons back to normal??

Also If and when i get hold of the voda f/w can it be patched for the sim lock to be removed with SIMLockPatchGen??
