I have a K550i too, but mine didn't not hung when I connect it thru the usb to my computer. However, when i disconnect it will restart itself. I am guessing it is not the firmware problem, there is only 1 firmware for the phone right now.

4 all of you... try connect the phone to another computer, if the same upgrade firmware.
