I discovered someone with w880i with R8BA024 without snooze/alarm bug

Sony Update says my phone 'already has the latest software'?

Is R8BA024 later software - is it easy/worth the upgrade?

still now, R8BA024 is latest software. To upgrade, simple using SEUS software, it's very easy

If it's not working with SEUS, you could try firmware flashing with setool2lite or xs++. It's very simple... check the sticky threads.

SEUS Is Far Behind. Like On My K790i R1KG001 Is Latest On SEUS Whereas On Topsony, R6BC002 And Then R8BC004 Has Released.

R8BA024 release by Wotan And it isn's create by sony ericsson whereas R6BC002 introducing by sony ericsson and SEUS know it.so if you want update to R8BA024 you must download this firmaware(R8BA024) and use flash programm (setool2lite,phonex,gflash,xs++,...).

Sorry its a little out of topic, but what is the snooze/alarm bug? what is the bug?

If i get a message in the middle of the night (which i often do) - I can't switch off the alram in the morning which drives me nuts

Instead of going into snooze mode it prompts to unlock the phone to read the message - I have to unlock the phone - read the message - reset the alarm at 6:30 a.m.
