W580i Language Change help!

Hi there

I am a noob here..... did some search but didnt really find the answer...

Just got a W580i (debrand) and the phone only got simplified chinese.....

From the posts looks like I need to "flash" the phone...but where do I find the software needed and where are the files that I need to "flash" with? :confused:

Right, i have a question that is abit like this. I have flashed my phone with W580_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52 and W580_R6BC002_FS_EUROPE_3_RED52 now my question is, is there a possibility to put the menu things in Dutch?? Because now i can only set them in English. But when i put on dictionary when typing a text message, i can type in Dutch. Am i missing something or what?

From the d/l firmware list is has:

It's your choice which one you want. You will also need the custom pack which is HONG KONG that contains the language.

When I flashed my phone I chose the same firmwire as the one already on the except not generic and hong kong instead.

@kickin8 its completely up to you, R8BA024 is just the newer firmware, so i would probobly recomend going with that, but its your choice. in either case, just make sure that if you use r8ba024 for the main, the fs must be r8ba024 as well (and the same applies to r6bc002)

sorry for another noob question: where do i get the custom pack? Does it comes with xs++ 3.1? :D

you need the correct file system (fs) file to flash and the matching custom pack
if you download xs++ 3.1 (http://www.4shared.com/file/32916048...arwin.html?s=1)
which has the custom packs already
then download the fs - and the mai flash those and it will be in english in no time :-)

I have xs++ 3.1 however i do not see my phone model w580i. When i click on customize file system and select phone model only option close to mine is W550 and W600 but no w580i. Are these close enough. When i did flash read somewheres to just use custompack which i did(selected own custompack). here is log i know alot of time it helps.
