Need help with my SE W580i

Hello everyone,

It's my first post here so i hope i'm doing this right. Here is my story. I bought a SE W580i in the shop the other day and i live in Belgium, but i noticed that my phone was in a pack with a sim card for Mobistar. Now, i have a Proximus card. But i noticed that i can't connect for the internet because the phone is set for Mobistar use only. I can call and i can send text messages but i can't use the internet because the browser is replaced by something called "Orange World".
Does anyone know how i can replace this firmware with the original firmware for this phone?? And i want it to be firmware for Belgium in Europe. Can someone tell me step by step how to do this because i really want to try. I've already contacted Sony Ericsson, but they dont want to help me.

Well first off, you can go here to have se automatically configure your phone to send mms on your carrier and here for internet settings. Now if your still interested in flashing your phone, you can follow one of these guides like this one for xs++ or this one for SETool 2 Lite. Keep in mind after you flash your still going to have to configure the internet and mms settings to be able to use them.

And, for Dutch(Belgium), what region and CDA do i use?? I don't know a thing about that.

Hmmmmmmm, im scared to put new firmware on my phone. what is things go wrong? what do i have to do then?

EDIT: And Jasmin, are you sure those are the files that are correct for my phone?? I want to get rid of the Mobistar lock(telecom operator in Belgium) to get all the functions of my W580i phone.

as long as you get generic firmware, you will not have any of that stuff on your phone. It will make it like you bought it straight from SE rather than from Mobistar
