    Problems with s500i

hello, im new but i learn fast.. so lets start..

Ive got a sony ericsson s500i but ive bring it to a
local phone shop for repairs.. Ive got the phone back
but it won't start up there is only "the red led of death"

The guy in the shop says that they have test the phone
    and it worked correctly..

After much searching its the erom that must be broken..

Ive flasht my phone with new erom software of another s500i..
but the phone wont start and only show the red led of death..

Is there something that i could have done wrong?

    Ive used the following GDFS:

    S500_GDFS

    FS:

    S500_R6BC002_FS_EUROPE_5_RED52.fbn

    Main:

    S500_R6BC002_MAIN_GENERIC_LY_RED52.mbn

    CDA:

    HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_14_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_5

(I can upload if someone need 1 of them..)

BTW, if i will connect the phone to my pc.. it doesnt find anything.. so
    i CAN'T connect :S:O

Hope someone can help me with my probs..

UPDATE IVE GOT CONNECTED WITH MY PHONE.. so thats no problem..

Ive flashed the gdfs again... but now when i will send the main and fs and firmware to the phone it says this..:

you did something wrong, EROM and GDFS are different. GDFS is unique to each phone by IMEI, while EROM isn't, if you EROM is damaged then you should have updated your EROM not rewrite the GDFS. Because you rewrote the GDFS and since it isn't the original GDFS of your phone you damaged more your phone. Best thing is to take it to another phone shop to fix your GDFS. I can't help you fix your GDFS, maybe someone else can, but as I said better take it to a service center. and if your phone will be fixed NEVER, i mean NEVER mess with GDFS again.

    Download SEtool2 lite 1.11
    shutdown phone
    reinsert battery
CLick unlock\repair button in SeTool 2 lite 1.11 (the first button)
    connect phone HOLDING 2+5

    EROM is repaired

then reinsert batter and use phone.

but why are u flashing main and fs in bootmode ?? 2+5 ... ?? main and fs is flashed only in normal mode .. that is holding C

Although you may repair your erom with akshayy's tutorial. I don't know if you will still be able to use your phone afterwards due to flashing a different gdfs. Hope you backed up your own gdfs beforehand.

u got mixed up with EROM and GDFS. U can only flash the phone's own back't up GDFS. Cuz GDFS contains phone's unique IMEI. Try Fixing the EROM first and see if it turns on. ;-)

And again, if you're unsure of what you do, it's better not to do it! You might "brick" your phone. you phone allready is in a bad shape and probably you won't fix it at home. Take it to a service center.

Another problem: HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_14_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_5 must be in MISC tab not Firmware upgrade pack. Also to have uploaded in the right place you need to recreate the folder structure (path) in a .zip file.

I'm really sorry to say but allmost everything is done wrong.
