It is slow comparing with a pendrive. The file transfer speed between PC and a SE phone using DCU-60 cable is about 0.1 MB/s, while a pendrive speed is about 5-20 MB/s(but it highly depending on pendrive type, so can be more or less).

Well, I wouldn't say 0.1MB/s. I saw transfers varying from 250 to 350KB/s on MyPhoneExplorer, with "Phone Mode", so I'm guessing it's a little more than that in "File Transfer" mode.

But now that I know that it is NORMAL for this cable to be slower than other USB devices such as a pendrive, I feel somewhat relieved, since it's not a problem with MY phone, or MY cable, or MY USB port.

But, can you explain me WHY is that?

I have an original Sony M2. And I guess if I'm going to leave my ipod at home I'm gonna have to be more patient while transfering music to my new cell-phone/mp3-player. ;)
