I have a sandisk m2 1gb card and the copy from card to pc works slow too, its around 255kb/s maybe 300 sometimes as i remember. The original SE m2 card can be faster while using it with dcu-60 cable?

Ask just in connection with K850i... I don't know,what type come off, to had preferably what highest temporary carrier rate over usb.

The fastest way to copy something over to your phone (onto the memory card) is by using a USB2 capable card reader/writer.

I don't know if the SE phones are USB1 or USB2 capable, but it might explain the slow transfer speed if it's only USB1.

USB1 allows a maximum transfer speed of 12Mbps which is actually around 1.5Mb/s, whereas USB2 allows up to 480Mbps (~60Mb/s). However, of course this is also limited by the speed it's possible to write to the card at. I don't have any benchmarks for the performance of M2 memory cards, but memory cards produced by Sandisk are usually quite slow in my experience unless they are the 'Ultra' series.

It is extrememly slow to transfer files from my phone via PC as well. Windows vista seems to hang also when attempting to copy content from the explorer window that is displaying the cellphone memory card contents.

Transfer are also slow with my W610i (300-500kB/s).
Despite the fact that the phone is USB 2.0 compatible, I notice that it sync at 12MBps (like USB 1.0).
I use a DCU-60 cable, I read that it is compatible with high transfer speed. Maybe a firmware issue ?

I just sent 700MB to my pendrive and it took 2min, now I'm sending two MP3 files of about 100MB each and it's gonna take more than 10min.

The copy via windows explorer is really that slow? Is there any software I can use to speed that up?

Now I'm using Winamp to transfer the files and it's still waaaaaaaaaaay slower than any transfer to a pendrive or my iPod.

Before someone asks: Yes, I'm using "File Transfer" mode.

is it probably caused by the "number" of copying files (not "the size") ?
