It depends how much you need. I have a 2 GB card and it`s not half full.

you can have 4gb card but if you will have on it more than 3gb phone can be lagged sometimes

I try more than 3 GB - work fine without lag.
Video player start 7 sec. with 2693 MB videos ( my old 1 GB - 5 sec. with 400 - 500 MB videos).
Now picture saving is faster with date and time for 7 sec., before with my old 1 GB - 10 sec. ( with date and time ).

I did use it for 2 Months , but I didn`t notice any delays. My opinion : NO.

I don't think the size slows your phone, the only thing can cause problems is how many files you have on it.
If you fill it up with 20000000 little pictures and themes, I think it can slow down the phone, because it has too many files to read, but else - no problem what so ever!

indeed it doesn't matter how much you put in the phone, i tried my psp's 8gb stick in my old K750 and it works. it just doesn't show the free space correctly and it was kind of slow opening my mp3 folder (wich contained around 1000 songs) but still it wasn't irritating. i now have 512MB in my k800i i don't buy more because i don't need more. just some themes, pics and ringtones is all i have. i use my ZEN for music :p
