Am unsure about the answer because I dont own an k800i and I don't know anyone that has done this.

Correct. But the network 3 isn't one those network. Lets say you bought an unlocked phone, if you put a 3 sim - it will not work. And the K800i is on 3 so am not sure when it's the other way round, ma friend got he's phone on 3 unlocked by calling 3 and paying that £15.

ive had a 3 k608i thats was unlocked and would let me use my vodafone sim so im guessing that it will work
