help with flashing/fixing w880i

i have been trying to flash my w880i according to ur guide

i have a swedish w880i locked to telia and i wanted it unlocked so i can use my other sim card.
Took me 3 hours to figure out that u dont press "c" on a w880i but u press "2" when connecting :p

but know to the problem i used "W880_RED_CID52_R3B021_EROM-FOTA_2006-10-12_08.bin" as "main firmwire" its probably the wrong one because i couldnt find "main generic" in any of the releases on this site.

and i used "W880_R1JC002_FS_EUROPE_4_RED52.fbn" as "flash file system"

and now the phone is dead :(

is there anything i can do or is it just trash know ?

can u point me to the right "main firmwire" and to the right "file system" i know i am supposed to use fs_europe_4 because thats sweden.

lol you flashed the erom instead of the main firmware,
W880_RED_CID52_R3B021_EROM-FOTA_2006-10-12_08.bin thats a erom, the phone can be fixed easily, get W880_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_AI
and use it instead of W880_RED_CID52_R3B021_EROM-FOTA_2006-10-12_08.bin, and flash the phone again

but it get stuck at 393/460 flashblocks and the indicator doesnt move any more. :(

should i just let it continue to go or stop it and reflash ? its been stuck for like 15 mins now

you might aswell unplug it, make sure your using xs++3.1 not a older or newer version and try to flash again, if that doesn't work try setool2 lite 1.11you may have damaged the erom and thats why it won't flash.

processing part 1 2 works and then 3 i should remove the phone and press "c" and connect it again (in my case "2") the program cant find the phone its just says disconnect the phone and take out battery and put it in and press C.

it worked now flashing in xs++ but the phone wont start anyway :P



i think its working now it was just some crap with it, but should i use simlockpatch to remove sim card lock now ?
use it on W880_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_AI_RED52.mbn and then reflash it ?
i know its alot of stupid questions but im a newbie :P

ok i used simlockpatch and got a small patch i opened setoolitev1.11 and flashed it with original flash and the patch in misc field.

now i cant get the phone to charge :P or start hehe, im just making it worse

i've got it to start now but it still says "put in the right sim card"

ok your patching it wrong,
Download SETool 2 Lite V1.11 From here: RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

1. Drag the MAIN file (.mbn) that you have in your phone on to qamaker.exe From the qamaker folder that comes whith SETool2 Lite 1.11; this will create a vkp file;
2. The vkp file created in step 1 put it in to MISC FILES;
3. Click bypass db2020;
4. Add the main FW (.mbn) file (like you would like to flash it) in the files box;
5. Press FLASH button;
6. Follow the instructions given by setool2 lite. Be carrefull! At one moment you will belive that nothing happens and the status windows is not changing! Not remove the CABLE! Wait until "ELAPSED x SECONDS" appears in status window.

This process will take some time, about 10-15 minutes or more

you must have a fully charged battery for this to work.
