Sony w580 lights wont stay same color

The setting in the menu only change the Call light, a light that illuminates only when someone calls. This seems to work as it should This has no effect on the the color of the light effects for the theme however.

You could try Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) to update software, but I don't think there is any way to fix the light problem without flashing to RBC002 or a newer, fixed firmware that will hopefully be released in the future

Yeah... R8BA024 is the one with the bug. If it bugs you a lot, flash back to R6BC002. If you can wait, then wait until there's (hopefully) a newer firmware with the bug fix.

No harm in flashing back to R6BC002, anyways. I don't really see any significant gain in R8BA024.

Same illumination bug with my w580i running on firmware R8BA024. I also noticed a bug after using and closing the radio function: there's a weird sound everytime I slide the phone open or close

I had the same problem when closing out radio....only way I got rid of that sound was to restart my phone....I have searched many a forum and have not found any other solution to this issue.

I found another way to solve the radio problem. Once u exit the radio function, disconnect and then reconnect ur headphones or use the walkman before disconnecting. That way you won't have to restart your phone......easier altho still annoying.
