    w580 Faceplates

I know that the w580 comes in a dark grey and a white.... but im seeing a black housing on ebay... has anybody had experience with this, or with the grey/white ones? I scuffed mine and would like a new one....

    Thanks in advanced,

The black is just like any other black phone - but a nice contrast with bright orange accents. I actually like the grey/blue version more - but I'll stay with the black for now unless a gray one is available at a good price.

thanks for the reply, but does anybody know if ebay faceplates will fit properly... I've taken my current faceplate off.. so that's not a problem, but considering this one doesn't seem to be OEM.... fitment may be an issue? or maybe not...

    anybody?

How hard is it to replace the faceplate of the w580i? Also is it possible to change the whole casing? I did drool a little on the white one before I settled for the black one - so getting a spare white casing might be cool:)

    It just little bit hard.
    You have to go slowly.
Don't forget to wear your clean glove and use t6 screwdriver.\
Front and back are easy to remove.
But on the side is hard, you have to take out all the parts and transfer to another faceplate.

Do Not Damage The Internal Parts, Otherwise It Will Be Dead.

You should give your telephone to service, because you can break it

its not too difficult to replace yourself if your reasonably mechanically savvy... sorry, but if the blak W580 available as an OEM option in the US? Here in Canada we only have grey/blue or white/orange as options....... why are we always left out? =(

Not specifically for faceplate changing, but this (W580 LCD replacement I think) gets the front and buttons off for a W580.. the battery cover is self explanatory.... and finally the panel above the battery cover comes off with a little GENTLE prying from where the battery cover meets it....
    cheers!
