The disassembly manual for S500 and W580 is on the sony ericsson website. Its easy to change faceplates, but changing the whole housing is a little harder.. you want to have a spare set of screws that hold the housing together because when you remove/adjust them they weaken. its not good to re-use them. be very careful about getting dust or dirt in the phone because it can completely ruin it. if you dont know what your doing, just take it to any repair shop and they will do it for you.

I have a faceplate bought from the faceplate stand and it is really hard to remove it from phone. Trying to remove it made a few damages to the plastic. :(

hi, i'm new in this forum so hello to everyone...
i have a tutorial with pictures and a step-by-step assembly and disassembly for the w580i/s500 wich is almost the same phone..
if someone can tell me how to upload this will be verry helpful
