did u mod that acoustic 4 ur fone? i think that we only have .apf and .zapf..
Maybe .aec is a new one with better quality... hehe
HE HE No I haven't touched the acoustic files yet...I am still looking for the original w580i acoustics first. w580i slider phone with the .zapf files.. Alot of acoustic pacs don't work with this slider..this thing has seperate files for when the phone is open or closed. Have to find out what each file does and just replace some individual files in there I guess...

those are some others extensions for acoustics (I also saw them on a w810) each of them is use to:
-farfield_call.aec : The sound when someone calls you
-farfield_play.aec: The sound when you play music in the speaker
-PHF_2_call.aec: The sound when someone calls you with the handsfree connected
-farfield_rec.aec: The sound when you record something, I think at the microphone
-Handset_0_call: The sound when you speak with someone (not in the speaker)
.aec are files that store your volume settings... like when you call someone and set volume to 5 dots... the handset_0_call.aec file is saved with that option.
Or when you use radio and set an especific volume, than run music player and set a diff volume.... those .aec files are the responsables for keeping diff volume settings for each thing you use on your phone ;)
I know this cause I mod acoustics :)

What happens if we delete the .aec files?
I accidentally happen to have deleted the PHF_2_call.aec file, and while talking on my handsfree, the other person told me that my handsfree is picking up a lot of noise from environment, and its getting amplified more than my voice...
Any idea what I can do about it?
It is save to delete the aec files, it will just reset the volume setting to default, i mean it will go to 4 dots automaticly...
