    Im a noob

So I have decided between the w580i and the s500i

the w580i is much cheaper. I was just thinking all the cool menus and animated backgrounds and light effects that the s500i sports, can i do the same with the w580i? and can i shake it and move it to the next song?

    key pad w580i

the breaking of the key pad is definitely an issue for the w580i, i have one with 2 broken numbers, 4 and 5, without heavy use...but the keypad still works perfectly and you just see the breaks with the lights on...

I am not sure smooth and glowy menus (but that should be fine becasue they are Flash menu and can be import to w580i), but the dedicated "W" Walkman button on the top panel should also be your consideration. I know S500 has a "Internet" button instead.

YES YES YES. I got the s500i for the desigt. My firmware is W580i for the functions. Works like a charm. Heard that the pad cracks yea. not happend to me.

To import everchanging to w580i or the other way. u gotta use xs++. The file setup for everchanging is alittle mroe complicated than ppl belive..

Heres the everchanging and dayandnight themes setup.

    tpa/preset/system/desktop/theme
    tpa/preset/system/STANDBY/theme
    tpa/User/theme

Theres alot of files to get this theme work. totale size of theme is about 800-900 kb`s

If u want instructions about flashing. patching. unlocking. etc etc. add me to solvold@live.se in :)MSN:)

    one last thing,

Can I get all the different light colors and effects on my w580i? and it has to be unlocked right?

so If I can do all this, whats the point; other than aesthetics to get the more expensive s500i?

and if i go with the s500i all i have to do is download more cool flash themes that are like the cool preloaded ones?
