how do i get a NCK to unlock my w580i network

i bought this AT&T w580i phone,i could not use mp3 files as my ringtone so i search the forum and i was able to get this thread which helped me to flash my phone.now i dont have the AT&T firmwire on my phone but i cannot unlock the network.it ask for NCK number and i dont know it,please please please im a newbie can someone please help me get a NCK code to unlock the phone:. thank you .confused:

You can buy one off eBay. See here: eBay.co.uk - unlock w580, Mobile Phone Accessories, Mobile Phones, Mobile Home Phones items at low prices I have purchased one before and it worked fine. Just make sure you contact the seller first to find out if he can unlock your network.

Ok, the question is, if somebody CAN unlock it (not the service), why nowhere in the internet teach how to unlock it? If somebody can unlock it, there must be some way, right?

You just browse a little around this SUPERB forum (hem hem... :D ) and you'll find how to unlock your @*~# handset.

Now I think, if not a true immediate interest, my story might bring a few smiles... if not a few grinds.

My (superb too) K800i was bought on Ebay, locked on SFR France and branded on Vodafone.

In France (I think it's the same almost everywhere) after six months, the provider is supposed to give THE ORIGINAL OWNER the NCK code to unlock the thing. All right, so I did call SFR who first answered me, according to the IMEI, the phone was too recent (:confused:) and I had to wait say 2 or 3 weeks.

Of cooouuurse I pretended to be the original buyer, who had provided me with all necessary details, date of birth, bank account and whatever.

OK, so 3 weeks after I called again and got the interesting reply that SFR could not get the code and I had to send the handset to some company in the North of France, along with a copy of the original buying invoice (God only knows where that might be, the owner had moved since and it was lost among all the things).

So I went to the next door shop who asked me no less than 40 euros for the unlocking !!! :mad:

So around I went on the net and eventually... HERE I AM !!!

But you have to generate new patch by SIMLockPatchGen_v2.1. It's easy. But remember, first you should create a copy of GDFS (use SETool Lite2 to do it).

I see what you're trying to say. Why does no one leak the NCK code generator some people seem to have. It must be out there somewhere.
