    Cool K790 issues

Hello everyone. I bought a K790 about eight months ago, and ever since I bought it I've been having some issues with it. The most annoying one is that the screen doesn't light up upon an incoming call, and when I unlock the keys these don't light up either, so basically I have to guess who's calling. Other thing that happens is that my menu texts suddenly change, and I have to turn the phone off and back on to reset it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Since Its 8 Months You've Bought Your Phone So I Would Recommend Giving It To Warranty. If You Dont Want, Your Problem May Probably Be Vanished By Flashing Again. If You Want To Flash Your Phone, Check This Tutorial XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing,Customizing,Recovering - Top Sony Forums

Whether you have or havent got waranty do this. It dosent void warranty
    http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/down...p-2.7.12.4.exe
This updates your phones firmware if ther is an updatre available

if you have have no warranty then download k790 firmware from here
make sure u select the right CID
xs++ will tell you your CID
    Download

All you need is a main firmware and a Filesystem from the above link. but download xs++ to make sure have selected the corect CID(49,50 OR 51)
if you select the incorrect one it probably wont flash. It is easy enough to flash your phone if you follow a tutorial.

You just have to flash your main and fs.
If phone dosent turn on after flash just try again (follow the tutorial carefully)

Updating To Phone Via SEUS Doesnt Reflashes Your Firmware. It Just Update Using The Method Used In Firmware-Over-Air. So When It Wont Reflash Your Main, Your problem Wont Be Solved. You'll Have To Use XS++ And Furthermore, XS++ Doesnt Voids Your Warranty.

Thanks a lot. I'm gonna try all that and I'll let you know

Hello again. I tried to use XS++, but I can't get it to connect. I turned it off, removed the battery and put it back in, hit the Connect button, and connected it it while pressing the C key, but I get this:

10:22:34| Error: Cannot open phone communication port
    10:22:36| Disconnected... Unplug the phone

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks.

You installed the USB Flash Drivers?
Put battery and Push first C, after you plug the USB Cable
