"Sony ericsson "authorization" service" couldn`t fix my cellphone (w810). They said: "Your phone was dead" and they want 35$ for this conclusion. When I asked them "can you send me service cable a.k.a. cruiser" they answered - we don`t have service cables, we use sony ericsson stuff.
Dou you think i can repair my phone with Sony Ericsson Cruiser Cable: Sony Ericsson Multiserver cable and how can i get it here in New Zealand? Thank you.

yes you can repair your phone with a cruiser cable & semctool 8.4, you can the cable on ebay

before you go out and spend money on a service cable try
repairing the erom
restoring gdfs from backup (if you have one)
Change imei number
reflashing main + fs

if you have tried that already then youl need to purchase your cruiser cable and i recommend using setools2 lite to repair your phone

What exactly is your handset doing? is it completely dead? are you getting flashing red lights in the infrared port? have you tried reflashing main? try updating your EROM. Use wotan server for this. It does it for free.

a note about the IMEI. you cant change the IMEI. Its illegal and you can go to prison for this. so dont do this or question how to do it. and others please dont suggest it.

I tried everything with dcu-60 cable, as much as i could. I purchased that cruiser cable, and now i`m waiting for it. Any instructions how to work with this cruiser cable and SEMCTool? I know the cable has got USB interface and this is not a problem, is it? Thank you

Edit: Red light in the InfraRed port doesn`t blink.

I have also got a service cable, but iv always been able to fix / lfash my handset with the DCU 60 cable. Im unsure how to work SEMCTool as it has the potential to brick your phone, but I guess you have nothing to lose at all!
