w810i unlocking terms explained please

I have read thread after thread, here and elsewhere but still have some queries, like, in the all in one w810ipack,'t=3314&highlight=w810'
at step 12 why mediterr, and what does it do, as my phone is r4db005, should I use that fbn file instead (obviously I should think) and if I only want to unlock at this stage, at what point do I use the unlock patch and where do I flash it to please?

I was just as confused as you but now I am begining to understand some of this stuff. Bro, I would say continue searching are reading other posts.
