K770i Debrand/Unlock question

I just purchased a k770i locked to T-Mobile UK and I wish to unlock and debrand the phone for use on O2 UK.

I have just been told that I cannot remote unlock this mobile because the firmware is not currently supported.

Will I still be able to debrand it? =/

yes you can debrand it, you should be able to patch unlock it once it's debranded for debranding you need xs++3.1 and some unbranded k770i firmware from the download section.

I was a little unsure if debranding was possible after I was told unlocking wasn't.

Also, can it all be done with the usb cable you are supplied with?

the dcu-60 cable yes.

Will the dcu-65 work the same?

Yes, it will.Only difference by this two cable is, that DCU-65 Is an USB 1.0 and doesn`t support high-speed.

I have an older, grey coloured cable I got with my old k750i, not sure what that one is though, doesn't have a label on it :(

It seems silly that I'd get a USB 1.0 cable with a phone that only came out last year :(
