LCD sleep during call

Does anyone know if this is possible - to patch or modify firmware to make a k530i or any other SE phone's display to sleep while in call. Something what iphone does. Althought the display dims after a while when in call, it still is on, thereby consuming power that can be saved by turning lcd off. This can be done by pressing the shortcuts button (or going down into some submenu from main menu - lcd sleeps after a few seconds) but it would be nice if the phone were to handle it on its own.

i too would like this sort of patch. i have a k800 and id like to lengthen its call time. right now, it really drains the battery when on long calls (probably cuz the screen's always on and i keep accidentally pressing a button and making it all bright again). since new se phones are able to be patched more easily now, i think people will be able to fix this, so i guess we just have to wait ;)

i think its simple if you are going to have along call then press short cut menu ..........

yes, pressing shortcut menu does the job. But its difficult to remember everytime.

Hmm a patch is very good for this, but there is none or? Please can someone try to make a patch? :D

I've recently noticed that my shortcuts button doesn't work sometimes when in call. and sometimes it does. Funny. Nevertheless, I use right navigator key which is configured to calender.
