k610im (i-mode) branded to Cosmote (Greece) debrand

Hi! i have a k610im(with i-mode installed on) branded to Cosmote(greece) and i want to debrand it and then customize it..i have read some guides and i have to say Bravo and thanks for helping the community with them...now the reason i am sending you this pm is because i want you to confirm some things for me that haven't been exactly "clear" before i proceed to the above procedures 'cause in case i "damage" my phone i will stay without a mobile!(no money at the time to buy not even a cheap one:()
So,
1)my k610im box contained a usb cable(just a simple one)..i read that i have to definately get a DCU-60..right?
2)i managed to connect it to xs 2.2 and i have these:

3)So, one thing i want to ask is: to debrand etc. i have to use ONLY CID52 FS and MAIN?
4)from the moment i have CID 49 and i want to go to CID52 do i still need to buy credits from TMS etc or i can do it for free? i think i have read somewhere that if you are on CID49 you can finalize your phone for free?is it true?
5)no finalization means no operating phone?
6)also i read that in order to debrand i will have to flash a generic MAIN file that's irrelevant to my region..so in final which files would you suggest me to flash(FS and MAIN and cust)?
[i definately need the Greek Language so take that in mind!;)]
7)which version of xs++ should i use for debranding and customizing? i have vers. 1.5, 1.6.8 and xs++_2.2_+customized_files and 3.1. which one would you suggest?

Look you have cid49, so you use firmware for cid49. You need to do a full flash ( main, filesystem and custom file ).

I would recommend xs++ 3.1 version.

you need to update to cid:52 to use newer cid:52 firmware, to update use the sony ericsson update service (seus) from Sony Ericsson - Sony Ericsson
, you will also lose i-mode if you don't use i-mode firmware.

I sagest u to keep the i-mode soft. With I-Mode FW u can use inet from your PC (with bluetooth & Bluesoleil software) without any problems. My brother have the same phone K610im. I changed the FW with newer and now i can't use Inet from the PC :(.

1)yep CID49, but the only files i see in the download section for cid49 are main and fs for taiwan and china! so don't you think i shoud flash a fs and main from the downloads->firmwares->k610->CID52->"smthg"

Look you can make a full flash ( main, filesystem and custom file ) with R1ED001_RED49 or any other firmware.Only it must be for your phone and the files must match ( R1ED001 all , if you take this ).

ok..something else now..how can i find which is the newest firmware?? i saw th RG.... but it say VF_LIVE so it shouldn't be such a good idea to flash this one...

there are sites that list the firmwares and show the latest updates...try sonyericsson.com for example...
