Extracting xml files from w580

Could anyone please let me know how to extract the layout.xml from w580? Far manager doesn't work with w580. I found an original layout.xml for w580online. Is it the same for all w580 regardless of its main and FW? Thanks in advance.

Take a look at this. You can actually browse your FS in FAR now :). Just find your layout.xml and extract it.

Yesterday, I tried removing my operator logo by editing layout.xml, but that didn't work so well. I also have the w580i, and the layout.xml in my phone, was completely empty. No text inside, it was a 0kb file. I don't think you should mess with this if you don't know what you're doing, but if you're sure, do it =)

Thanks a lot. I got my layout.xml with FAR and it was empty too. That's why I couldn't modify anything. However, I found an original w580 layout.xml with all the coding. Supposingly, I can modify that one and upload the file to my phone with FAR. but I just wanna make sure that all w580 has the same layout.xml regardless of its main and FS files.

I read somewhere on this forum that whatever xml file you get from FAR with a db2020 phone is a 0kb file, no information. So I don't think you should do this until you actually can take backups of your original xml files =/

it's not possible to download files yet from db2020 phones
just wait and hope one day a solution will come :)
