    Exclamation W810i Sound Driver issue?

    Hey all,

    Merry x-mas!

My w810i has been acting up lately. I think it may be an issue solvable with software.

Every once in a while my audio cuts into some crazy static where I cannot hear the other person and they cannot hear me. It happens randomly (either at the beginning, end, or middle of a call) and lasts for a random amount of itme. Sometimes it happens for a second, other times about 20 before I hang up.

Anyhow I wanted to know if this is something that can be fixed with newer audio drivers or software. It currently has the default audio drivers on it and the phone has been debranded and unlocked by me.

Also, this is a new issue which has popped up out of nowhere. The phone never did this in the past and I've had it on the same firmware for over 6 months.

    Thank you

why do not try to update your firmware using an official software?
Try the software at this url:

Sony Ericsson - Support - Update Service

You could also try to restore the phone to factory settings - it sorted a lot of random problems that I had with my old k750i(flashed to w800i). Also for my w810i loaner the latest firmware lowered the phone speaker making conversations awkward.
