    What is EROM?

    This is probably a noob question, but what exactly is EROM and what does it do and etc?

    Yeah, I knew what does it stand for but... The question is what do I get by changing it? I see bunch of EROMs available for download.

    No advantages. Higher CID is only new version of security, preventing bruteforce and other break in stuff.

    EROM = Extended ROM. This is the base part of the software which isn't flashed in normal update operations. It controls the flashing interface, the boot loader, etc.
