    Re: Put flash menus on your phone - only flash supported phones

    Need help here...

    Just converted my k550i to w610i.

    I uploaded the .swf and .thm files to both directories shown in the first post but when i apply a flash theme, the corresponging flash menu wont work and it only shows the classic menu. However, the original citybeat gsharp themes work perfectly with flash menus.

    Any clue?

    I tried uploading with XS++ and FAR Manager and didnt work.

    You have to change the entry in ***.xml.
    you can visit google, there you can find what you want

    No, because k810 doesn`t support flash menus. You can only have animated menus.

    Nice day

    Re: Put flash menus on your phone - only flash supported phones

    hi, i have some problems with flash menus on my w610i
    i know my phone supports flash lite and i can easily view flash files on my phone, but when i apply flash theme, my menu stays the same..
    i know i've done everything correctly, i put the *.swf file in correct folder, changed the *.xml file in theme archive so it's linked with correct *.swf file... but no luck..
    so i read somewhere that you need to have generic firware so i've come to a conclusion that my phone is branded... si my question is:
    do i really have to flash my phone to a generic firmware in order to have flash menus? i'm a little scared to do that cause i've never done such a thing and i don't understand it very well... i mean, all i want are flash menus, and i don't thing flashing the phone is worth it.... :/
    so i was thinking, if flash menus are disabled, there must be some string in some xml file on the phone that says something like "flashdesktop"=disabled and is there a way just to enable flash menus without flashing the phone,,,?
    maybe with customization_upgrade.xml ?
    thanks in advance... cheers.. ;)

    Re: Put flash menus on your phone - only flash supported phones

    well... aren't you all very helpfull... lol

    anyway... i managed to do it myself...
    and if anybody wants to know how to get flash menus working on a branded phone with flash menus disabled, here's the deal:

    first, you download Customize.xml to your pc ( i suppose you know how to download a file from your phone), then you change a string
    <enable-flash-desktop>false<enable-flash-desktop>
    to
    <enable-flash-desktop>true<enable-flash-desktop>
    save the file and put it back to phone with xs++
    this actualy didn't quite enabled flash menus, i had to do one more thing..

    i had to make Customize_upgrade.xml with the following content:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <customization>
    <mmi>
    <settings>
    <enable-flash-desktop>true</enable-flash-desktop>
    </settings>
    </mmi>
    </customization>
    and then upload that xml file to tpa/preset/custom

    then i turned the phone on and flash menus were working.. yay

    btw, smth strange happened while i was using xs++ to put swf files on the phone... while the upload procces, that is after upload, just before i had to click shutdown, xs++ crashed down, i mean, the window just disspeared...
    i totaly freaked out cause i thought my phone is dead...
    i couldn't turn it on nor connect it again with xs++...
    then i removed the battery, inserted it again and the phone turned on.. working normaly.. .phewww,,,, what a relief... :P

    so, what happend? why did xs++ crashed? :/
