    branded w580i with less functions

    hello,

i've got a branded w580i. as i read on different sites, the w580i has a shake feature and you can change the lights. With my phone you can't!

So what i wanted to know is what i have to do to get this working. Is it possible to do so or is this the hardware?

If it is possible to have these functions, what do i have to do? Flash it?
What program is best for doing this? What files and so?

it's a belgian phone so it needs to be in dutch (nl)

I'm new to this, so could you explain some more too if possible.

    thx

TO use the shake feature, hold the Walkman button and shake the phone. It should work, it has nothing to do with if your phone is branded or not, and the lights should change colour to the beat of the song. Maybe you havent turned the features on?

i tried to shake it while pressing the Walkman button but it won't work. It shaked it even better than the milkshakes i make :p
In the menu there is no option to change the light on the side! As i read somewhere else, this should be possible. My gf's mom is able to do that on her z520i. I've read somewhere that mobistar took this out! when i ask this in my local shop, they say that there is no shake feature in the w580i. It told them it was on the official site of SE but they didn't want to look!

    Is this possible?

i had an orange branded w580 and the shake feature and the ability to change the lights on the side were disabled. so i had to flash a generic firmware to be able to use these features.

yes some mobile networks do disable some of the phones fuctions, you need to unbrand your phone, use xs++3.1 to flash unbranded fireware make sure you back-up all contacts files etc, before flashing.
