2. Then started debranding as at&t destroyed the usage of the phone.
3. The Main, FS and custpack files used were

6. So, when I insert the SIM now I get a configuration error.
7. I have my GDFS backed up, but what do i do with GDFS?

Your MAIN And FS Are Perfect:). Even Your Custom Combination Is Correct But Since You Recieve A Configuration Error, You Had Made A Mistake Applying Custom Files. Reapply The Custom Pack And Post Your Logs If You Still Get Error. And You Need To Re-unlock Your Phone For Sim To Work Since Flashing MAIN Destroys All Patches And Thus Patch Unlock Too.

Dear mohdumer,

Sorry for not attaching the log as requested. I pasted all the logs in a document file and forgot to save it. But, will attach it tomorrow as I’ll have to do the entire process again as I’m still unsuccessful in removing the configuration error.

Referring to the problem: I think you’ll need to guide me with the sequence of operation for debranding and then unlocking. I’ll share the different options I’ve tried and possibly you could find my mistake or suggest me better options.

1. Initially, I debranded my AT&T W580i Sony Ericsson phone. The Main, FS and custom packs were selected as suggested and you have acknowledged the same.
2. Flashing was successful, so I started customization using FSX. As I got a Command Error previously, I removed my memory card this time and FSX was successful.
3. Network was locked as expected, hence, used Setool2lite v1.11 to unlock the phone. It Flashed the main area again and unlocked my phone successfully, but when I insert my Sim, I receive a configuration error “Contact Service centre or network provider.”


I tried the following options to get my phone working depending on the various posts with reference to debranding and unlocking:

1. I debranded my phone again using XS++ v3.1 and tried writing only the unlocking SCRIPT using Setool2lite. But, the Setool2lite fails at embedding bootloader.
2. I followed the normal Setool2lite procedure and successfully unlocked the phone. So, I connected the phone to XS++ and found that the custpack was erased while unlocking using Setool2lite.
3. Hence, I flashed only the FS using XS++ after unlocking the phone and added the custpack using FSX. The phone was unlocked and all the Main, FS & custpack were loaded, but, still the configuration error.
4. I think I should try the America_1 FS and custpack available at some anro**.com and hope it works.
5. Else, I should modify the configure.xml file in the custpack by contacting my network service provider. I hope they’ll help me with some details.
6. I’ve used the Phone locks option in XS++ GDFS area which says that the phone locks for DB2020 has been reset to 0000. I’m still unsure about what this means.

This is my w700 phone and i flshed it using the following two files:
1:for fs:W700_R1CA021_FS_EMEA_6_RED49.fbn
2:for main:W700_R1CA021_MAIN_EU_1.mbn
it flashed successfully but when i turn on my phone it shows an error:
Configuration error.
Please contact your network operator or service centre

You must finalize your phone. Look here example:

Finalization = Completing flashing operations and storing basic settings that phone needs to properly operate [i.e. security certificates, (and this is why phone displays "configuration error" if it is not properly done)].

Firmware has two parts:
1. FS: It contains languages, images, sounds, animations, settings, etc. Anything that isn't pure software.
2. Main: It contains the software.

Note: MAIN and FS HAVE to be the same software version

FS R1BC002
Customization has to be same region as FS, in this case
FS = EU5 (EUROPE_5)
Customization =CDA102338/50 ( EUROPE_5 Sunrise Switzerland)

Im sorry but i did not understand what you meant by finalisation
please just tell me what i should do for the normal functioning of my phone and whether the files used for flashing were correct
i have used xs++ for flashing (just in case it helps you to help me)\
