XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering

Thanks a lot, but doesn't this mean, if I upgrade to CID52 and I want to do some customizing, I'll have to use CID52 firmware and FS?

(I might have some too)

it might be more simple to first unlock, THEN customize to generic CID51 and THEN upgrade, no?

Use any "GENERIC" MAIN that is your phones CID.
The FS must match the firmware version of your MAIN and check the languages page to know what region you need.
The Custpack must match your firmware version and region.
And I don't think that the CDA is important.

in GDFS tab, I find the locks. It said "read the lock code or change it to 0000 if it's db2020.
Can I use it to unlock my w580i? (db2020). IF I try, may it lock my fone forever?

This is just for the phone lock, you personal key to prevent that others use your phone. It has got nothing to do with Simlock.

Great tut! I got as far as flashing my k800i with XS++ and i have been stuck with the program......."sending db2020_cid01_prodid_p3j.bin........" for a half an hour now.

I know the program is not successfully sending data to the phone but im afraid of closing the application for obvious reasons......(data loss, retard phone ect...)

Any suggestions? Bite the bullet or what.....an explanation would be nice also. I followed the tutorial step for step.

Definately.You Will Lose All Data When You Flash Your FS. Read i)Terms Of Agreement On First Page.

Hi, I have other 2 questions, when you upload a file, lets say a cam driver you also lose your data?
In the first step when you update your CID, do you lose data?
