XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering

For what phone?

The best thing is to connect your phone to xs++ and copy your phones log here without IMEI number.

OK, I just keep getting worse. :(

I flashed my w300i with:
w300_r9a036_main_generic_je_red49.mbn
w300_r9a036_fs_europe_2_red49.fbn

It flashed OK (several minutes of blocks loading), but when I start the phone, it gives me "configuration error"


I tried these instead:
w300_r4gg001_main_generic_je_red52.mbn
w300_r4gg001_fs_america_2_red52.fbn

...and XS++ just closes immediately without flashing.

Are my "main" and "FS" not "matched?"

I looked at the backup file I made originally, and it revealed that my Cingular w300i was originally a "R4EA031", which I had apparently clobbered beyond recognition with my early careless attempts at flashing, so I loaded these:
W300_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_JE_RED49.mbn
W300_R4EA031_FS_AMERICA_2_RED49.fbn

I now have a nice Generic w300i with the email client restored and all of that dang Cingular hacking removed. Thanks for the great website!

Hi, noobe here.

I'm trying to flash teh firmware of my k750 from teh original CDA102338/77 R2A to CDA102338/58 (basically I just want the additional italian language).

The log is fine and it shows that the firmware update was a success but the phone still has the original firmware.
The phone is locked to the UK 02 network. Does the phone need to be unlocked first?
