    Use small program "babeck" and check your MAIN and if is everything OK try with Setool2lite
    (and I hope you do backup GDFS of your phone )

    I'm new on SE flash, as far as I investigate, "babeck" checks the MAIN flash file to ensure no errors.

    I have used XS++ (3.1) on 4 w810i (black color "CID49") without problems.

    The phone I actually trying to flash is a w810i (white color "CID50"). Its there any differences between this two?

    Do you recommend Setool2lite over XS++ :confused:

    Thanks!

    Re: XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering

    hey guys, just recently purchased SE W350a :)
    wanted to tamper with it and well as unbrand it so i can use music files as ringtones...
    so i downloaded the update service from the Sony web and also XS++

    Upon opening XS++ and following the procedure this is what it said:
    16:34:48| XS++ v3.1 (Darwin) Ready !

    16:34:48| Executed on Microsoft Windows XP

    16:34:54|

    16:34:54| Attempting to open the interface...

    16:34:54|

    16:34:54| TURN OFF PHONE!

    16:34:54| Hold 'C' button on phone and connect phone NOW.

    16:34:54| You have 30 seconds...

    16:34:54|

    16:35:24| Error: Cannot open phone communication port

    16:35:26| Disconnected... Unplug the phone

    16:35:30| Shutting down...

    I've tried connecting it as the tutorial states and the outcome is always the one above.. any sugeestions?

    Just realized... Was using red53 instead of red52. Using the correct file fixed the patching problem.

    It might help future users if we added one additional point on how to identify the correct file in the tutorial

    Re: XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering

    umm... does this work on phones that have not been debranded? like rogers (if any of you know)... in canada?
    cause i tried like 3 or 4 times and it didn't work...
    Phone: W580
    OTP CID 51
    EROM: CID52
    tried to use:
    MAIN:W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn
    FS:W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED53.fbn
    CUST:HB1_06_Gen_CDA102568_15_R8A_GENERIC_AMERICA_1 .zip

    Do you know what i'm doing wrong?
    thanks in advance

    That's your problem. Use CID 52, not CID 53.
