K790a Rogers "Configuration Error"

Hi,
I loaded K790_R1EG001_MAIN_GENERIC_RED49 and K790_R1EG001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED49 on phone but after that when I installed sim, it shows "Configration Error contact Service Provider"

Later I loaded K790_R1GB001_MAIN_GENERIC_RED49 and K790_R1GB001_FS_AMERICA_2_RED49 to phone but same result. I am unable to understand what is problem?

Did you customize your phone ever? you need to upload a cust pack after you flash your FS

He didn`t, because Configuration Error comes, when man don`t customize your phone or if man did, then comes from custom file that doesn`t match this phone.
Custom file is to finish flashing your phone.

hi,
I read this forum for my problem and confused with two different things. I want to use this for Rogers which has (i think) America_1 flash file. So what is needed for customize phone.

Another thing If I update my CID49 to CID51 then can I unlock phone with SEToollite or XS++? I know CID51 can not reverse back to CID49.

Answer to question no. 2: Well, I have CID52, and I'm using the latest XS++ without any problems. I think CID51 would go OK too.

I just flashed my Rogers K790 today. It took me about 4 tries to finally catch on to where I was going wrong but I got to the step you got to and got the same message. I went back and did the Customize File System and it's been working great after that.

In my case I used K790_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_EV_RED52.mbn for the Flash Main Firmware, K790_R1JG001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED52.fbn for the Flash File System and for the Customize File System I used K790 for phone and AMERICA_1 (CDA102535/301). My phone is a Red 52 CID.

If all you want is straight cell with the MP3 player and the ability to make your own ringtones, this is great. I don't know about the other web stuff that Ted preprograms. I'm going to pick through the Rogers CDA and see if I can find the server addy.

I love this site. For 2 EURO'S I got Ted out of my cell.

UPDATE: I debranded my wifes K790 tonight and I got it in 1 shot and it took about 10 minutes.

thank all for help,
I solved that problem, missed point for customize option. now phone is debranded but still locked. When ever, I tried to put other Network SIM (locked to rogers), incorrect sim message show. I tried to unlock with both SEToolLite and XS++, unlock code set to "0000" but still no go through.

It seems to me that no free methon available for db2020 unlock.

Try A Patch Unlock If You Can, Not Sure Or Just Try Davinci Or One Of Those Programs And Pay To Unlock

thanks for patch unlock tip but where I can find patch for k790. I know that SETool and XS++ can do patch update but I am unable to find patch unlock for this phone.
