Beginner Debrand on W810i

Hey Guys,
Looking for help on debranding a W810i and i'm completely new to this
and would like help on picking what files a need to do this.

Make an upgrade through SEUS to get to CID52.
Then you need a MAIN, a FS and a custompack, avaliable in download area. Just make sure you get the same firmware version for the files, and pick Europe_2 versions of them, in order to keep your language. You also want the GENERIC version to get unbranded.

Grab GENERIC_MAIN, choose what FS you want depending upon the languages you want it to contain, and download a suitable custpack with it. You can find what langauges each FS contains here. A guide on how to flash it all to your phone. Since you are using a w810i cid 49, I would strongly suggest that what you download be R4EA031 cid 49, it is easily the firmware with the most amount of patches out of all the w810 firmware. It is also cid 49 which makes it just that much easier to break into with far than if you upgraded it to cid 50

Search for a flashing tutorial and follow the steps exactly.
Before doing anything back-up your GDFS, it is very important!!!

@Gnitrops why should he upgrade the CID? CID 52 isn't even avaible for W810i, try not to give incorrect information.

that has done the trick perfectly phone debranded and correct me if i'm wrong but it's unlocked now to.

phone is not unlocked only debranded, try to insert SIM from other service provider and see if it works. to unlock it apply unlocking patch.

I originally asked that question and the help I got allowed me to de-brand the phone. Unfortunately, I can't seem to write a patch to the phone.

I start SETool Lite Edition v 1.08. It gives the following message on load:

I select "W810" from the model box.

I then remove the battery from the phone, replace it, and click "Identify." I get "Hold 'C' and insert USB cable!" which I do. An entry is addrd to the log file, "12/23/2007 11:47:20 AM identify, IMEI 35--------------"

SETool displays the following:

Then I click the filefind button next to "Misc Files" and select "Remove_SIM_lock_W810_R4EA031.vkp" I then select "Write Script." I then see, "Going to execute VKP script."

The blue line runs to the end, starts over, runs to the end, and does this forever.

Finally I click "Stop."
The display says,

Abort all operations.
phone pre-boot failed,possible RECOVERY needed.
Elapsed:136 secs.

I then re-boot the phone, works fine, not unlocked.

I have done this about 2 million times with different versions of SETool and different copies of the same version. I have also tried XS++ but the "apply Patch" button is greyed out and I can't apply the patch.

What am I doing wrong?
