W580i Question

I have purchased a new w580i, and I updated it using the Update Service from the Sony Ericsson website. May I know the changelog from the previous firmware and the latest firmware? I found a bug, the lights in the side retained the color when the walkman is opened two or more times. I have to set the theme again. I dont have this bug before upgrading my firmware. Thank you for your help!!

Sony ericsson doesn't give changelog to their firmware updates :(

My W580i, with the firmware R8BA024 and theme Spinnin’, don’t have this bug.

I have a bug on the themes downloaded by myself. Before I upgraded my firmware, the light stays at blue, but now, if you open the walkman player twice, the side colors will remain the walkman player color.

I have a similar problem. I have R8BA024 firmware also.

Whenever I use a custom theme and use the Walkman function, my phone reverts back to that gross yellow/green Sony Walkman theme color. This effect all the themes, even the Splat, spinnin, and others. I think its less noticeable on these though because they reset the side light color each time you press menu or something. Simple downloaded themse don't do this, so the side light color remains yellow/green until you re-apply the theme.

Its Extremely Annoying!

Could we use XS++ V3.1 to delete the Walkman theme on a W580i. Is this even possible?

I am so frustrated with the side lights on the W580i. No matter what theme I chose or color I set the side light to using SE Theme Creator it reverts back to the Walkman theme yellowish/green color whenever I use the Walkman function. This is so annoying. I just want to get rid of it.

If deleting the theme isn't an options because it will disable walkman functionality then are there any other solutions? If I could edit the walkman theme, I could at the very least change the side light color to something more pleasing. I can't though because its protected.

Mine did that right from att. I debranded it with wotan. They didn't have the R8 yet so I used the R6. It stopped after the debrading.

So you can set a theme with say a blue light, then go the walkman where the light turns green/yellow, and then exit and it will go back to blue and remain blue?

If so, it seems pretty conclusive that this is a R8BA024 firmware bug. Can we report this to Sony Ericsson? Do they listen?
