Problem with pref_store.txt ( Increasing SMS limit)

I read how I could increase SMS storagge so I made a pref_store.txt in which I wrote /tpa as described in some tutorial and replaced it with original pref_store.txt. Nothing happened except my messages were gone I now I cant save any message.
I have Z550i with R6BA033 firmware. Can anyone help me?
Does anyone know which text I should write in pref_store.txt or can anyone upload original pref_store.txt. Thanks in advance.

    what did you use? FAR?
Changing the text of pref_store.txt changes the location in which sms messages are stored (i think).
The original contents of pref_store is /smsdata which you changed to /tpa.
You cant save any messages? Does that mean you cant "save" a message (as in store it in the Saved Messages part) or does that mean that no recieved message is saved in the inbox?

Also you could try by making these folders using FAR:

    /tpa/messaging
    /tpa/messaging/sms
    /tpa/messaging/sms/msg
    /tpa/messaging/sms/FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
    /tpa/messaging/sms/FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF/pending
    /tpa/messaging/sms/FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF/sm
    /tpa/messaging/sms/FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF/sr
    /tpa/system/messaging/sms

They are present in your /smsdata and are required to classify messages into their categories.

    hope that helped :D

EDIT: Apparently the whole procedure does not work for a lot of phones so I'd recommend just undoing everything by rewriting /smsdata in the txt file.

Sorry for the late respnse vlax but i did not see your reply :)
Actaully the saved messages are stored on the SIM, not on the phone. Maybe it was some other problem. Can you save on the sim now??

Have you tried to make an empty pref_store.txt file with notepad and type /tpa and save? And after that upload via fsx in xs 3.1? I think you know this but anyway it might be useful.

i also tried this with my z550i...unsuccessful..
    1. unable to save incoming sms - msg disappear
    2. sending failed - automatically moves to "saved items" as corrupted sms

It's working on my W800, maybe there isn't enough internal memory, because number of messages depends on how big is your internal memory ;) (i'm just guessing)
