another insight: I was wondering because some pictures that I made with .jpg does come out nicely, but most of them is bad, and it got me thinking maybe because the original resolution of the pictures was great?? the one that comes out great was originally from a wallpaper resolution...any relationship there?

if you save your jpeg's with minimal compression will be look great ;) (but files will be bigger size)

I use photoshop to create wallpapers too ;)

^pichu what do you mean minimal compression?

If you saving photo by option: File / Save for Web u will be able to set compression level in jpeg's (option: Quality - set to 100% - after this image will be in minimal compression / max quality)
