Getting replacement 580i

Hi! I didn't have any luck reviving my other W580i after successfully flashing my firmware and everything and turning off the phone....and after that I didn't turn on anymore. I was wondering which things should really be backed up (GDFS, BACKUP FULL FIRMWARE ATT) I want to do both things, how can I do them? Also my phone didn't turn on anymore when flashing new accoustics, can anyone with a modded 580i tell me what firmware are they running and which CustPack so I can avoid having to exchange my phone again. the only thing that needs backing up is the GDFS, with a back-up of your gdfs you should be 90% fine, the worst thing that could happen is your erom completey dies which is very rare, you can't back-up the firmware it's not possible but you can always just download the branded firmware, or update with seus that will rebrand your phone, post up a xs++3.1 log and i will tell you what firmware and custpack you need.

If so... how can I upoload peter's accoustics without messing up the phone? Or any other accoustics for that matter?

applying new acoustics to the phone wouldn't kill it even if you do it wrong.

original acoutics are very nice...lol. maybe the custom acoustics you donwloaded are not compatible with W580

some acoustic packs don't contain files like farfield_closed_play.zapf which is needed by the w580 but not by the k800 etc and acoustic packs made for the k800 won't contain these files, a fix to this problem is to take the farfield_play.zapf copy & paste it then rename one farfield_closed_play.zapf.

Would it be too much trouble if I asked for a mixed ready to go W580I accoustics pack? I don't want to mess up my phone again. I've heard peters 880 with DRC on are pretty good. I'd like loudness when playing my phone without headphones and the best quality possible when using headphones. Is this possible?

Ok no problem. So you guys are sure that replacing my accoustics won't render dead my phone?! Because last time I did this my phone died...and I never could get it to turn on again.

the better way to get your phone as at the origin is to flash your fs to get all the original files
