file decoders

hey there ppl!!
is there a way i can modify the decoders in my phone so that i can play *.wma files and *.rm files
im using a w300i

unlike symbian phones, java phones do allow the installation of codecs i think :D

You are right abmadman. I don't know about .wma playing, but .rm playing is possible on newer phones, like K800 or k550i. You cannot modify the decoders. My phone is able to play .wma. Good day.

well thats the point
y do some phones play *.wma while others dont
for instance
w710 does but w300 doesnt...

K800 CAN play *.wma !

If your phone cannot play *.wma and *.rm files, then the best is to convert these formats to *.3gp for example.

i know but the point is that i dont want to convert the files!!
