EROM question - resurrect a K750i

I have 2 CID49 RED K750i phones. One of them now says it is BROWN. When I did a master reset on it, it went funny (bottom line of screen disappeared and LEFT SOFTKEY does not work to press SELECT on Choose language). I did a *>*<<*<* and ran the keyboard test which works. So I know the keys work. I am trying to flash a RED EROM in this phone as it was originally RED.

Can I use my other K750i to read out the RED EROM? I tried using FAR but could not get very far with it. I expect it should be possible these days but I just cannot find the exact process. I have spent hours looking on the forums for EROM downloads for K750i but keep getting CID36 ones.

The EROM that is in my RED phone is R3A005 (cxc1250091?)

U cannot use an EROM of 1 Phone to flash/write/repair another one, because Originals EROM have data that only works to their phone (like IMEI), I Suggest Change CID49BROWNtoCID49RED http://www.topsony.com/forum/showthr...ght=CID49BROWN

And Then, do a Full Flashing of your Phone, I Hope information can help U.

In the meantime I managed to use FAR to reinstall the FS (see http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=7480) and then used XS++ to customize. When I turned on the phone it was OK.
If I did another master reset "delete all settings" then I got the problem back again, no LEFT/RIGHT softkey, softkey legend area close to the top of screen rather than at the bottom. I repeated the FAR/XS++ technique and it was OK again.
I was about to sell the phone so I will stop there and not attempt brown to red in case I really break it! I can now walk into the shop and sell it as working.

the erom is like a bootsector on a pc, the erom basically holds the firmware u can use a erom from anther phone, u can use setool2 lite to write of the erom as a .ssw file but no1 knows the address for a cid:49 erom.

Well the shop tested the phone and did a MASTER RESET. The phone showed the same problem that I had so they would not buy the phone. I need to get a RED EROM for CID49. I have another K750i but do not have SETool2 as I am a simple phone user and not an unlocker/repairer.
Can I use SETool Lite to read the EROM from my working K750i? I don't want to ruin that one, but I am happy for the broken one to be not repairable/sellable, although fixing it would be great.

That's what I thought.
I am going to give it away to a friend and just tell them not to do a MASTER RESET. I can fix it if they do, by using FAR and XS++ (FAR to delete FS in phone, then copy a PC folder-structure replicating the FS, then using XS++ to customize)
