Remove SIM-lock patch generator...it creates from main frimwares patches which you can apply to the frimware and with the help of these you can "unlock" your phone.

Note: after reflashing the frimware on your phone you will have to apply the patch again as this just patches the main!

Yes, MAIN GENERIC is okay for you. In Europe and America the correct choice is the MAIN GENERIC. If you want some branded firmware, you can use that too.

    Re: Remove SIM-lock patch generator

    I must say good job!

I'm a first timer, but after weeks of reading and memorizing the steps to flashing (read countless tutorials and guides on hofo, se-ense, topsony, etc)

I flashed my Rogers branded to generic firmware! AND used the Autopatcher with setools and now I have sucessfully debranded and unlocked my phone.

Well it says it is unlocked through the settings, havent actually tried with a foreign sim card yet.

To all of you who have problems, DONT RUSH THINGS, go over all the steps carefully, DONT PANIC.

For both the flashing and patching process I read multiple tutorials because as great as ONE tutorial is sometimes the author misses out on something, so try and cross reference the steps with a tutorial by another author.

Remember each step is important, I know it maybe annoying such as taking out the battery, sim, memory card etc each time, but it is neccessary!

Backup files, have programs neatly saved and installed onto a folder you will remember. have all the cables etc ready.

Believe me, this was my first time in doing anything technical with a phone, I was intimidated.

If for any reason that it is not working for you, that means you are missing out on a step, or you are not using the right phone. Unless by some random occurence your existing stuff is glitched/corrupted.

    Re: Remove SIM-lock patch generator

    Hi simox,

    2. In Windows Explorer drag the MAIN file (.mbn) onto SETool2 Lite v1.11 folder\qamaker\qamaker.exe. In the qamaker's folder you will get a quick_access_XXXX_XXXXXXX.vkp file.

Here is some infor 'bout my phone

    Profiling SEMC phone...

    00:28:35| Platform: DB2020

    00:28:35| OTP CID: 51
    00:28:35| EROM CID: 52

    00:28:35| EROM Color: Red

    00:28:35| IMEI: 35536301xxxxxx

    00:28:35| Phone ID: W850

    00:28:35| Region: VFE_LIVE_2

    00:28:35| CDA: CDA102677/116 R4A

    00:28:35| Firmware Version: R1JE001
How can I find the MAIN file (.mbn) ? In the download area there are some but I don't know what's good for me and I have no permission for download, too.
    I need your help,pls...

You need this file: W850_R1JE001_FS_VFE_LIVE_2_RED52. You can use GENERIC firmware as well, but you need to debrand your phone first.

    Re: Remove SIM-lock patch generator

    Hi,

I'm new here. Thanks for the help, I'm able to unlock the sim lock of the phone. But now I'm facing a serious problem after unlocking the phone.

After I unlock my 3's Z610 from Australia, is able to take other sim card and make calls. The problem is, after boot up the phone, I close the flip of the phone, the light goes off and will never light up anymore. At first I thought the phone off by itself then found out that it is not, it still remain on because the light at the cover outside still able to view the time, and see properly, I can stilll see the internal screen under strong light. Once I get into the brightness setting, the light straight away came back so it is not the cable problem. It happen as long as I switch on the phone and close the flip, if I don't close the flip it won't have any problem.

I suspect is because I did something wrong and cause this problem and below is what I'm suspecting right now:-

    1) I've checked the original firmware of the phone is R1ED001 but I used Z610_R1JG001_MAIN_GENERIC_RED52.mbn instead of Z610_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_EU-EMEA_RED49.mbn. Both of this files I got it from a website because I do not know where to get the MAIN.

    2) I did not debrand the phone and straight away unlock the sim lock.

Will it because I used a wrong MAIN firmware for it and should I debrand it first? How can I get it fixed? Flash again then apply the patch again? Or just debrand it will fix the problem? Please help me, it is kinda troublesome with a non-light screen... Thanks a million!!!

    Re: Remove SIM-lock patch generator

The Z610_R1JG001_MAIN_GENERIC_RED52.mbn should be okay. First reflash the MAIN and check if the phone is properly working:
    a. if it works then apply the unlock patch(again).
    b. if it doesn't works then reflash the phone completely(MAIN, FS, custom pack), then apply the patch
