Your phone is brown(EROM color), and SETool2 Lite doesn't support brown phones. Use jdflasher to flash/apply patches to phone.

Yes you can , but this depend on CID of your phone(you can't flash CID53 with XS++ for now ) and CUSTPACK needed for finalization of flashing .

I got a little problem when i wanted to "read GDFS" with SETool2lt

The prog is able to identify my phone but when i want to "read GDFS"
my screen Shows:

Will backup GDFS now.

And when i want to install the "Remove_SIM_lock_K750_R1CA021.vkp"
the program says:

You have a brown phone. You can work it with Far Manager to convert it to red. Then patch unlock.

Hey Simox you're a life saver. Thanks very much for this great guide, it worked just fine for me. I used your simunlockgenerator long before db2020 support was out and it never gave me any issues. I was away from patch unlocking for so long since I bought my unlock clip, that I forgot how to do it. With a quick look at your guide I was up and running again.:D

For people with w580i's its ok to pm me if you want to get my full unlock pack (it's free) to help reduce road blocks. I got one of the best version of setools2lite (v1.11) available for patch unlock right now, and also a fully loaded zip folder of all what you need, to have a successful firmware flash / debrand and patch unlock for your s.e w580. People with other db2020 can also pm for help if needed.

Since all the patches are already provided in the zip folder it will make going through Simox great guide even faster. You don't have to be a pro to do this unlock and it saves you time and money. Even better for some of us who don't trust anyone with our personal things.

Please note that I can't promise to help everyone unlock their phone, but I can try my best to lend a hand. Just remember to say thanks.

Be sure to back up your "GDFS" and personal files on your phone before you try any of this and ensure that you have a fully charged battery.

!!!! AND IT WOULD ALSO BE GOOD FOR YOU IF YOU AVOID TURNING ON THE PHONE BETWEEN PROCESSES AND WAIT TILL THE LAST PART WHERE THE UNLOCK PATCH IS SUCCESSFULLY APPLIED TO TURN IT ON!!!!

I advise using a sim card from another carrier when turning on the patch unlocked phone to help it load up better on unlocked networks.

I used se tools lite to backup the GDFS file but i dont get any .bin file
i saw that the platform is db 2010 erom cid is 36 do i need the change it to 49?
so yes how do i do it.

if i try to update by se update service the program comes with

identifcation failed

so i cant upgrade using the original SE update service

SETool2 Lite cannot patch CID36 phones, so use FAR Manager + SEFP to apply the unlock patch: Patching tutorial Farmanager . But first backup the GDFS: Backup of the GDFS with Far Manager.

Thanks for the info so far , i backed up the gdfs already but now i need the unlock patch for the w800. i looked already in the download area but i dont seem to find the right file ? i found something in this thread http://www.topsony.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10811

but i dont know if its the right one the are speaking of CID 49
