hi, I already tried your advise, but i didnt help. im becoming made, dont know what i did wrong.:confused: is there a possibility to find out for which provider the simlock is? I would like to try if the mobilephone isnt broken. i bought the mobilephone from a guy some days ago and with his simcard it worked without problems, but i forgot which provider he had, and i think i dont will see him in the next week.
please help!

If your phone is black-listed show the message "Inactive SIM" but you have full access to phone. "Insert sim" means not detecting sim, no sim inserted any provider. Or sim damage or not supported by the phone.

im very appreciating your help NKTA and GinnCorvus. now i know that my w580i isnt broken or something like that, because it works with a tmobile prepaidcard, but not with any other provider (or a tmobile contract simcard).
so there are no problem with a contact or something like that, its 100% the simlock!
yes i didnt tried 25, but i think at least 8 time to unlock the w580i to try ou if i had done something wrong, but the simlock is still there:confused:

But could you support it for k610i model R1CB001_CID49, i have tried to unlock it but this little prog claims the file is corrupted and i have read on your forums that is a little bug.

I know that bug. The reason I haven't corrected it, is that we cannot apply patches to DB2020 CID49 phones. First you need to upgrade the EROM CID to 52 using XS++. Connect your phone to XS++, and when it ask if you want to upgrade your CID, then press YES. DO NOT use SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service), because it will update your CID to 53, and we don't want this. Then download a K610 CID52 MAIN, and try again. It is recommended to use the same MAIN what you have in phone, but you can use newer versions of K610 MAIN as well(it will work, I'm sure).

You need to upload a custom pack. In XS++ 2.x Guide read the III. Region Codes and CDA/Custpack. In step IV. skip the (do not select any) MAIN or FS. Upload the custom pack only.

You can use XS++ or SETool2 Lite as well. It is just a matter of taste. Here are some tutorials: XS++ 2.x Guide, Flash your phone using SETool 2 Lite. No matter what tool you use, select JUST the MAIN. At this time you no need to flash the FS nor the custom pack.
