Remove SIM-lock patch generator

XS++ cannot apply patches. Use SETool2 Lite instead. The correct steps are written in first post of this thread. But first read this: General Information about Patch-Unlocking (start here if you want to unlock)

The flash themes aren't working probably because your phone is branded. First unbrand it with XS++. In tutorials and guides section you will find the tutorial.

It should work with branded firmware as well, but if it doesn't works, then try to unbrand the phone first. By the way what message do you get? Insert correct SIM?

The "phone lock" and "SIM lock" isn't the same thing...
The phone lock is a password(PIN code) what you set to protect the phone from others, or in this case from yourself :D. The SIM lock is to prevent to use other SIM card than your provider's.

So, connect your phone to XS++, click on gdfs radio button, then click on read user lock codes. Then you will get the phone lock code: 0000ffff if your PIN is 0000, or 1584ffff if your PIN is 1584 etc.

Yes after I posted my last reply I realised my stupidity and it is now unlocked, however the k800i have developed a problem, the backlight stays on while your using it from switching on but after it goes into standby the backlight does not come on through normal key pressing, and its a case of switching on and off to get the backlight back on. Is this a hardware or firmware problem.

The firmware I used during the unlock process was K800_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52

Anybody got any ideas.?

If it worked before unlocking, then probably it is a software problem. The K800_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52 is an old firmware. Try to find some new firmware (R8xxxxx) like K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52, and flash it(but just the MAIN).

Since we can´t create a unlock patch for R1CB001_CID49 is it possible to use another main generic like R1CF001_CID49 or R1ED001_CID49 to create it ?
And then can i use this main to flash the phone ?

My phone is k610i R1CB001 and in the forums all of them recommend to only flash what firmware your phone is. So i'm a little confused ...:confused:

Thanks Simonx, whats the best way to flash the newer firmware, XS++ or Setool, is there a guide how to do it as I am real new to this. Any help gratefully appreciated.

clean the contact of your sim socket and the sim pad. Try another sim, it maybe damage

hi, I already tried your advise, but i didnt help. im becoming made, dont know what i did wrong.:confused: is there a possibility to find out for which provider the simlock is? I would like to try if the mobilephone isnt broken. i bought the mobilephone from a guy some days ago and with his simcard it worked without problems, but i forgot which provider he had, and i think i dont will see him in the next week.
please help!
