I have a K800i that was on vodafone and it seems to have been unlocked and even debranded. Only thing is I cant access the internet anymore is this due to the firmware I used to make the patch from? And should i try using the sony update service to update my phone or wil lthat lock it again?

Im using virgin mobile now, im just annoyed i cant get the net working.

If you update your phone via SEUS(sony ericsson update service), or you reflash the MAIN firmware, then the phone will be locked again.
You need to set the internet/WAP setting to be able to use it. You can request the settings from the SE official page.

i'm sorry, but i am a total idiot for this things and i don't understand anything here. i have a sony ericsson v630i (vodafone),and i want to unlock it. fireware R1EDOO1, DB2020, CID 49. i have downloaded your newest version 2.1. you wrote that i first have to go to SeTOOL2lite. ok, i did that. i've picked my phone and then what? i don't understand your instructions. it describes that i have to drag the main file from windows explorer. what main file? when i go to WE it opens my documents, and i don't understand what file are you reffering to. i've tried to go to seTOOL2t and pressed the read GDFS and it said to press C on my phone and insert the USB cable, but nothing happens...i'm so confused...can you explain the whole process step by step, i including what main file i'm supose to have,please,i'm a total nerd...thanks a million

i have a sony ericsson v630i (vodafone),and i want to unlock it. fireware R1EDOO1, DB2020, CID 49.

First you need to update your EROM CID to 52, to be able to apply the unlock patch. For this operation you need XS++ v3.1. Run XS++, click on Connect button, now press the 'C' key on phone and connect the cable. When XS++ ask you to upgrade the CID, then press Yes.

Before you can do anything, you need to install the USB Flash Driver: USB Flash Driver Installation - Guide

When any tutorial or program says to connect the phone it means:
1. Turn off the phone(if it is turned on)
2. Remove the battery, and wait about 5 seconds(remove the SIM and memory card, if you do not removed them already).
3. Put the battery back, but DO NOT turn on the phone.
4. Now you click on button which the tutorial/program say.
5. Press and hold the 'C' key on phone, then connect the cable. Wait until you see some progress in status window(in left side of XS++ or SETool lite).
6. You can release the 'C' key now.

MAIN firmware: the file with *.mbn extension. You NEED to download another MAIN firmware with CID52, e.g V630_R1JE001_MAIN_VODAFONE_MW_RED52. Instead of R1JE001 can be anything else, but this is the latest firmware...

I'm referring to MAIN firmware what you need to unpack it somewhere(the best if you unpack it to path_to_SETool_lite_folder\qamaker folder).

Go to >*<<*< menu then Serivce info-> SIM lock. All locks should be unlocked. Do not try whith <**< menu because you will get randomly locked/unlocked locks(this is a 'normal' behaviour).

i cannot seem to start setool2 lite. everytime i click the exe it gives me an internal exception, i just use the exe in the "PatchWise.bak" folder. everything seems fine except even after i updated to 1.11 it still says 1.10 and after i press no to apply the patcht he program just closes abruptly. an help?

At the moment you can apply patches to DB2000/DB2010 CID36/49 and DB2020 CID52 platforms only. Yes, it should. Tell me first, which CID number it has?

Hey Simox. I applied ur patch. Now, I don't have a different sim to test it. How do I know the patch worx? The hidden menu still shows it to be locked.
