Hmmm maybe but when i'm using XS++ what am i to put for region cause the MBn and FBn are both generic (to my knowledge) but for the bottom right where it says customiziation what am i to put cause i'm in the U.S And i'll be using T-mobile am i suppose to have it match this :

TMobile use unbranded (GENERIC) firmwares. And the customization is made by a TMobile branded custom pack. So, this combination of firmware and custom pack is good.
First reflash your phone complelely. Here is the guide: XS++ 2.x Guide

i've pressed both flash as well as the unlock button

Where do you read that you need to press the Unlock/Repair button? I suggest you to follow carefully the guide on first post of this thread.

so the files i've downloaded are correct? what should i use for the region settings? where it says select cda and region?

Just select that T-Mobile custom pack(T_MOB_INT_A), and you will get back the MMS settings too.

but the phone isn't even turning on plus i'm still getting the insert correct sim error

NVM Phone has turned on i left customize File system box UNchecked but fone isn't accepting T-Mobile sim

(XS++ Is the first step i've taken so far)

Tried applying the unlock patch using write as well flash with none of the tabs selected trying the quick access patch has only brought erros saying they don't match overwrite or something of that nature

It is ok if you get the insert correct sim error after flashing, and the phone is working. But YOU NEED to customize your phone. Don't waste your time to unlock it until you have put a custom pack.

About bytes mismatch error: Probably you(or anyone else) tried to apply the quick access patch before. So if you get a mismatch error just press yes to continue the operation. And FOLLOW CAREFULLY the tutorial on first post of this page.

um.. you still haven't told me what to put for region/cda for the custom pack i just don't understand it; please be more specifid cause they're is hundres of custom files

I just checked the available custom packs in XS++ for K800. There isn't any custom pack for T-Mobile. But do not complicate it more, just use EUROPE_2 (CDA102511/2). You can get later the MMS and Internet/WAP settings from Sony Ericsson official site, or maybe from your operator site...

If I flash the firmware to a newer or older version, do I have to do the quick access patch again?
